I am so excited...tonight I am going shopping with my sister for an interview outfit! Yes, the idea of the interview is exciting, and I am really glad that I have an interview at all after a long list of one page letters arriving in the mail to say that the position has been filled or that I have not been considered to be interviewed, but I'm more excited about the outfit and shopping with my sister, hahaha. My sister is a fashion guru. She knows what she should be wearing for the season (though nothing that is ever fad-ish, only stylish and trendy in a classic way) and where to get it for the best price. As she is very petite, she never has to pay full price for anything, usually getting it at 75% off because her size is always left. Yes, she gets to wear sizes that will only fit on one of my legs. While I do have the tendency to be jealous of this fact, she is a wonderful sister and I can't hate her for her beauty and petiteness, that and she is nice to have as a resource for making me look better. So! I will be heading to my interview in style and looking fashionable and elegant, professional and sharp.
I can't help wonder what sort of outfit I will come away with on this shopping trip. Will we head to Ann Taylor for an updated suit-like ensemble?
Or will we go to Banana Republic?
Or perhaps head to J. Crew?
I don't know, but I'm excited, and can't wait to see how she plans to transform me from plain old Courtney Jean, into elegant Ms. Interviewee.
