Rainy day

The rain is washing away the pollen. I had begun to imagine I was looking at the world through a yellow filtered camera lens, and now today the puddles are solid golden pools. How is it that pollen is the color of sunshine and wealth, happiness and cheer, and yet is the most obnoxious substance that marks the changing of a season. In summer, rays of sunshine descend and breezes scatter grass clippings...in autumn there are gorgeous leaves that fall and cover the ground...in winter blankets of snow ( depending on where you live) change the landscape, but in spring, among the petals of cherry blossoms are the noxious fumes of Bradford pear trees and the sickening tint of pollen.

When pollen is examined on it's own molecular level, it looks just as evil as the villainous roll that it plays in ruining the wonder and beauty of the spring season.

Just look at the vicious spikes on these microscopic balls of demonic maliciousness. I am not even someone that suffers from seasonal allergies, or any allergies other than the rash that penicillin based prescriptions give me, and I cannot stand this joyfully colored plague. I feel so sorry for my allergy racked friends who find these early days of spring more lamentable than cause for celebration. We blessed and allergy-free citizens do feel your pain as we are inconvenienced by the yellow stains that mysteriously appear on our white spring attire, and when our automobiles come to resemble the subject of a popular Beatles song to our chagrin. And while we do not face the physical depredations of these yellow armies of evil, we feel your pain in the most acceptable ways.

And yet without these golden waves of loathesome pollen, the world could not start fresh and renew it's beauty each year. I think we need to figure out a way to biologically engineer vegetation that functions completely independently. Sure, it might somehow mutate and over throw our domination of the environment, but there would be no pollen to irritate and check our spring fever!

The beginning...

Today is where it all begins...this is when you will meet me.

There is nothing more than my words and the look of this page for you to create a first impression. I might appear boring so far, but first impressions often prove that things are never what they seem.

Soon you'll be reading my literal drivel, wondering why you are even perusing my blog, and hopefully I will draw you in, entangling you while capturing myself in these lines.

Welcome...
